Talisha is a surface pattern designer who designs prints for statement fabrics,
luxury wallpaper and expressive tiles.
She is based in Birmingham, England. Her designs are known for often merging juxtaposing aesthetics, achieving a sophisticated, luxury opulence, making them a favorite for brands / designers looking to stand out.
Talisha has multiple design capabilities with a unique aesthetic, that is contemporary,which speaks to the eclectic tastes of the modern multicultural individual, through offering a perspective on surface design by blending aesthetics.
She has developed a diverse portfolio that spans fabric for fashion and interior contexts such as cushions, curtains, wall coverings, wall hanging, ceramic tiles, and home decor.
TALISHA'S INSPIRATIONS
"As a designer, I draw inspiration from my surroundings, particularly the grungy areas of Birmingham. I explore the city, photographing its gritty textures and graffiti, and merge these elements with Eastern pattern compositions. This fusion creates a distinctive mood characterized by a surreal quality, ghostly layers, luxurious opulence, and a sophisticated look."
"I often evaluate my work through the lens of 'masculine' and 'feminine' balance, striving to achieve a perfect harmony that captivates viewers. This involves integrating floral elements into my designs, allowing vibrant pops of colour - urgent brights - to contrast against a moody colour palette"

Digital drawing methods and exploring blend modes to create motifs before moving onto the composition stage.
Utilizing hand printing methods such as screen-printing, as well as digital methods of printing, paired with unconventional techniques such as laser rastering to achieve visual interest to entice viewers and add texture to achieve my unique, versatile signature style.
